Bodyscan & Soundmeditation (ENGLISH)






In this audio file we start with a guided body scan. This is followed by a traditional Indian sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls :). Perfect for falling asleep, or for relaxation in between!

The Bodyscan is a guided meditation in which we “travel” through our body. We focus our attention on the part of the body that is named WITHOUT moving that part of the body. If we notice that we are subconsciously tense in that part of the body, we can try to become a little softer by exhaling.

This is followed by a traditional singing bowl meditation with Tibetan singing bowls. The singing bowls harmonize with the 7 energy centers (chakras) that we carry within us. The more relaxed we are, the more open we are to the effect that the singing bowls have on us, so it makes sense to practise the body scan before the singing bowl meditation. 

Be sure to listen to the singing bowl meditation until the very end. It gets a little quiet at one point, and this moment of silence is infinitely important! In everyday life, we are surrounded by so many stimuli and usually spend so much time on our cell phones or in front of our PCs! When you realize that the last singing bowl has “faded out”, try to consciously immerse yourself in the moment of silence, in the moment when you are simply allowed to BE.
