Congratulations on your baby! Making time to practice a little bit of yoga allows you to hold space for your and your baby's health and emotional well-being during the amazing journey that is pregnancy.
Holistic Prenatal Yoga
helps you focus more deeply on your pregnancy. You will feel more in touch with yourself, more connected and you will be reassured that the power to give birth and to nurture your baby once it is born is within you and nowhere else.
No matter how busy you might be, yoga will help
you cope with your life in a more relaxed and focused way. It has an
amazing way of making more space and energy available for you.
Why holistic? In our classes, we learn:
- Key postures to ease discomforts and relax you during pregnancy and to support you in preparing for your birthing experience.
- Breathing techniques to cope with contractions and help during labor.
- Empowering tools to help you in your process of becoming a mom, whether it's the first or third time.
Using the 5 key elements of a holistic (Akhanda) practice:
- Yogic Wisdom
You can practice Holistic Prenatal Yoga from your first trimester (although most women feel more comfortable practicing starting the second trimester) and continue until it feels comfortable for you in the later stages of your pregnancy. Our weekly classes hold space for every stage of your pregnancy and encourage community building.
Do I need previous yoga experience?
Not at all, classes are accessible to all mommas to be, regardless of your previous experience. Each session is designed to strengthen, relax you and get you in tune with baby and body without over-straining.
*If you recommend the course to a friend and she buys a 6er or 12er card, both of you get 10% off for the next purchase.*
We will practice, share and learn in the most beautiful urban oasis in Munich. Svaira Yoga - The Studio is centrally located only 3 minutes away from the subway station Sendlinger Tor. As soon as you enter the backyard you will be fully submerged in the here and now. The studio has all the props we need for our practice, as well as changing rooms, a solid hygiene concept in view of COVID-19 and a lovely atmosphere, perfect for our yogini gatherings.
I'm a certified Hatha, Vinyasa and Holistic Prenatal Yoga Instructor based in Munich, Germany.
I first found Yoga in 2011 while visiting a class at my local fitness studio. It didn't take long before I fell in love with the practice. Firstly, because of the amazing physical effects it produced, but later because of the calmness and freedom I felt after every session. So I kept coming back to the practice.
In 2018 I became a certified Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga instructor (200hrs) and in 2019, I completed the 100-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Certification Course by the Womben Wellness Institute in the amazing Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India.
My favorite part about teaching the different forms of Yoga I have learned is being able to guide students into listening to their own bodies, their intuition, and finding those wonderful zen moments in between and during postures. I am also passionate about the amazing process of pregnancy, birth, and the unfolding process of becoming a mother. I consider the concept of community and women's gathering and support systems extremely important as an empowerment tool. Not just for pregnant women, but for all women, regardless of their stage in life.
With the classes I've designed, my mission is to empower you, help you relax and guide you into learning more about yourself and about a holistic yoga practice.
