Yoga and Pranayama Basics Workshop:  2-week intensive workshop to kickstart your yoga practice

Are you looking to start practicing yoga and would you like to learn the basics of yoga and pranayama? 


Yoga and Pranayama basics is a 2-week intensive program that is designed to get you started with yoga, even if you are an absolute beginner. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of yoga, how to start practicing yoga, and the benefits of yoga and pranayama. Plus, gain the confidence to practice different elements of yoga: Surya Namaskar, Asanas, and Pranayama. 


In the course of eight classes , I will guide you through the basic asanas, various breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. I will also teach alignment in the asana, as well as the connection of breath and movement. The class will take care of the individual physical and mental needs of each student.

This workshop is also suitable for absolute beginners without previous yoga knowledge. You will gain the confidence to join regular classes or practice on your own!

What will be covered: 


✔️ Basic Warmup - Why is warm-up important? Learn how to warm up your body before yoga to reduce the risks of injuries


✔️ Surya Namaskars: Learn basic and classical Surya Namaskars with 12 postures step by step. Chinmayee will teach you modifications if you have a stiff body.


✔️ Learn the basic alignment and how to do asanas properly to keep your joints safe


✔️ What is hatha yoga and vinyasa yoga? Practice both the styles in the workshop and experience one full class in Hatha and Vinyasa styles. 


✔️ Pranayama (breathwork): how to build lung capacity to practice pranayama. Learn simple breathing techniques such as Nadi Shodhana and Sahaj Pranayama. 



In this workshop , you will learn the basics of yoga, how to start practicing yoga, and the benefits of yoga and pranayama. Plus, gain the confidence to practice different elements of yoga: Surya Namaskar, Asanas, and Pranayama. 


I have been teaching yoga for 11 years and I understand how to teach yoga in a simple way. I will give you modifications for the asanas to suit your fitness and flexibility level. The most important yoga postures will be demonstrated and we will also practice together. The class size is limited, so each student will get feedback on his / her alignment.

About me
I am from India and have been practicing yoga for over 15 years. I became a registered yoga teacher at the young age of 19 and have been teaching yoga and mindfulness, conducting group classes and workshops in India and Germany. I have been teaching for a decade now with an experience of teaching over 8000 hours of yoga. After learning from different schools teaching different styles of yoga such as Iyengar Yoga and Sivananda Yoga, I created a style that focuses on releasing the tension, getting fit, and feeling calm and centered with a dash of yoga philosophy. It is my endeavor to bring an authentic and holistic style of yoga to people and make all aspects of yoga accessible: postures, breathing techniques, yoga nidra, meditation, and philosophy.
